AM Equipment
Ted Powell began working at AM Equipment, then a dealer and service center for small engines, in 1972. In 1975, Ted and his wife Rita purchased AM Equipment and, over nearly 50 years, transformed the business into a leading designer and manufacturer of niche windshield wiper systems and motion control solutions for large OEMs and the aftermarket. In late 2021, the Powells selected Ilion Capital Partners to carry on the legacy of their business. We have added to the leadership team and accelerated growth. We are actively looking for add-on acquisitions in DC motor manufacturing, actuation, and controller design and manufacturing.
Mid States Supply
Mid States Supply, located in Kansas City and founded in 1947, provides pipes, valves and fittings, as well as value added modification services, to the midstream natural gas industry. Ilion acquired MSS from another private equity owner in 2023. We are working with the long-tenured management team to grow the company organically and inorganically.
